Since leaving university I have spent several years working on nature reserves around the country which allowed me to combine my love of nature and the outdoors with, of course photography. Two years ago I decided it was time to leave the mainstream and head out on my own and follow my dream.
People often ask me where I got the name 'One Tree Photography' from, well, this photo is the reason. I remember nearly every photo I have taken, where I was and how I was feeling at the time, this is why I am so passionate about my job. I was out walking in the pouring rain, fully water proofed up, camera tucked down my coat, enjoying the cold rain and quiet. As I sheltered behind a large Limestone rock, the sun came out for a brief moment, I abandoned my flask and ran to a ridge and snapped this Hawthorn with its dragon head. I love the memory and the photo...... One Tree Photography was born.
When I am not out with my camera I have a part time job doing gardenening/ground maintenance for a local holiday park. I love walking and spend any spare time out with my dog...... and my camera!
I love meeting different people and the challenge of capturing every individual for who they are and not just what you can see. To see what I have been up to please click on the Facebook link....
